December 1st, 2008, was one of the last times for many years that Venus, Jupiter, and the moon will be this bright in the sky--seen all together. The next time will be in the year 2052. My children will show their grandchildren. In America, we saw a frown but in Australia they got to see a smile. I enjoyed spending the evening watching the sky; the kids had fun, too! We called relatives just to enjoy the sky together, for a moment.

I saw it the night before and got a smile. It was very bright.
But, last night was too cloudy to see. At least it was by the time I went outside. Dad said he had been watching it all evening! I don't know why he didn't mention it to me!
